John L Moseri, MD is the CEO/Medical Director of Newport Integrated Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. His 25 years in the behavioral health industry include various medical and executive level positions with Fulton County Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center and Grady Hospital Health System. Dr. Moseri completed medical school at the University of Benin in Edo State, Nigeria. He then attended Morehouse School of Psychiatry in Atlanta, GA, residency in psychiatry and his fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Dr. Moseri is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine. Dr. Moseri has worked for many years in private practice and in inpatient settings at various private psychiatric institutions. Dr. Moseri provides psychiatric care to under-served communities in Georgia. Dr. Moseri specializes in the treatment of Children/Adolescent and Adults and has extensive experience with substance use and across the spectrum of psychiatric disorders.
Joy is the COO/Clinical Director of Newport Integrated Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. She has 15 years in the behavioral health industry in providing administrative, financial, programmatic and clinical oversight and support. Joy received an undergraduate and graduate degree in Management from Southern Polytechnic State University now Kennesaw State University. She graduated with a doctorate in business and Masters in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. Joy began her career in a residential and outpatient behavioral health setting and has experience working with clients of all ages struggling with addiction and behavioral health disorders. Joy has been a clinical provider for 8 years and has expertise in addiction as a Certified Addiction Counselor-II and in working with clients with co-occurring behavioral health issues.
Virginia has been a registered nurse since 1991. Her experience includes working in nursing education and hospital administration. She has provided consultation and liaison services in inpatient and outpatient settings, Joint Commission and CARF accreditation consultation, program development, and medication management.
Primrose has been a Practical Nurse since 2005 and is currently working towards her RN. She has experience on the ground floor as a Charge Nurse, and Utilization Review Coordinator. Primrose comes to Newport Integrated Behavioral Healthcare with 20 years of experience in Nursing Care in the hospital and clinical settings from Kenya.
LaShunda has worked in the healthcare industry for over 10 years. Her background includes utilization review as well as administrative roles. She attended Atlanta Technical College College.
Directed by a board-certified psychiatrist, the programs and services represents many professional disciplines, including medicine, psychology, nursing, social work, and counseling.
Clinical staff has special expertise in working with different age populations. In addition, staff members have extensive experience working with patients of diverse sociocultural and linguistic backgrounds. Experiences and compassionate, Newport Integrated Behavioral Healthcare staff work together as an interdisciplinary team to assist each patient through the treatment process. Rapid, state-of-the-art diagnosis is integrated with thorough psychosocial assessment so that treatment is tailored to each patient’s needs.
