Partial Hospitalization Program
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides intensive, structured behavioral-health and substance-use treatment for individuals who need more support than routine outpatient care but do not require continuous medical supervision.
Intensive treatment with the ability to return home
PHP offers a high level of structure during the day while allowing participants to return home or to an appropriate living environment outside program hours. The program is designed for patients whose needs exceed the intensity of routine outpatient care but who do not require 24-hour medical supervision.
Treatment is individualized and may combine psychiatric care, medication management, individual and group counseling, psychoeducation, relapse-prevention planning, and discharge coordination.

PHP may be appropriate for people who need frequent, coordinated treatment but can safely function outside a 24-hour residential setting.
